Stillness

We had a big storm come through the other day so I was thinking that would lead to a good sunset which I wanted to try to capture in paint. Normally I head to one of our local beaches but I got out too late so decided to head to a nearby park instead. I have to tell you, it was a bit creepy standing alone in the dusk. I could hear gators nearby, lots of frogs and rustling in the grasses. The mosquitoes were feasting too. I was bound and determined to get a painting done. I got pretty far for only being out there about 45 minutes. I finished the painting when I got home. "Stillness" 14x11 oil on Centurion linen panel.
